This is an unbranded banjo Uke from the 1930s give or take. It has no markings or label (not uncommon in that era) but is a solid player with it's original skin head intact and in good condition. It has all the hallmarks of a Chicago built instrument. It has the original tuners, skin head and hardware and a replacement Grover bridge and new Aquila Nylgut strings.
Work done:
This instrument was intact but had surface rust on the hardware, the bridge and strings were missing and the tuners needed work. I disassembled the instrument, buffed and polished all the metal work, re-set the neck, cleaned and restored the original tuners. I then assembled the instrument and tweaked the action to play well. It turned out great!
This is a solid vintage banjo Uke with the classic skin head/gut string sound and it's available at a great price! I'm asking only $155.00 for this Uke. Here is a chance to own a sweet vintage instrument on a working musician's budget!
